The seven Centers of Excellence have already made substantial contributions to advanced care and medical knowledge. Enhancing these areas is critical to address burgeoning medical needs in our community and to improve patient care today.
Advanced Imaging - The Center for Advanced Imaging pushes technology to its limits for the benefit of clinicians, researchers and, most importantly, patients.
Cardiovascular Care - State-of-the-art diagnostic and surgical equipment, highly trained experts and groundbreaking gene therapy research at the Center for Cardiovascular Care help fight heart disease, still the number one killer.
Gastroenterology - A multidisciplinary approach and a staff of highly skilled gastroenterologists and subspecialists draw on the latest advances in diagnosis and treatment of chronic, debilitating and even life-threatening gastrointestinal (GI) diseases at the Center for Gastroenterology.
Kellogg Cancer Care Center - The Kellogg Cancer Care Center is translating advances in cancer biology and genetics into improved clinical care. Aggressive research provides hope for patients today and tomorrow.
Maternal and Child Health - Providing a continuum of care for mothers and babies, the Center for Maternal and Child Health's research efforts include advances in treatment of serious neonatal conditions and early detection of ovarian cancer.
Medical Genetics - Genetics is the future of medicine and the Center for Medical Genetics is one of only a handful nationwide with the expertise to address the complexities of genetics research and patient care.
Neurosciences - Clinical trials and patient-centered care are at the heart of treating devastating conditions like stroke, multiple sclerosis, brain tumors, and Parkinson's and Alzheimer's diseases. New discoveries are leading to better outcomes for patients at the Center for Neurosciences.
Orthopaedics - With a long-established tradition of orthopaedic excellence, and innovators and educators who have pioneered new surgical techniques and clinical practices, the Center for Orthopaedics cares for patients of all ages with a wide range of complex musculoskeletal disorders, diseases and injuries.
