Treatment Philosophy
The goal of any treatment is to maximize neurological function and minimize pain. There are many possible reasons for a patient to have pain, and it is necessary to first understand why the patient has pain, and only then correlate that information with imaging such as MRI scans. Advanced technology is useful only when used to treat problems that will respond to it. Sometimes the best option is the simplest, and perhaps not even surgery. The patient should be given as much information as necessary to make an informed decision regarding treatment.
